Reports to: Head Coach Position Classification: Full-Time, Seasonal (Late Summer – End of Hockey Season)Duties and Responsibilities:Daily practice setup (towels, jerseys, socks, laundry bags, sports drinks, water, etc.)Pre-practice skate sharpening, equipment repairs, equipment modifications, and sewingPre-practice bench setup: water bottles, coaches' board, tape, sticks, tires, etc.Post-practice skate sharpening, equipment repairs (including sewing), equipment modifications, equipment replacement, equipment cleaning, and laundryPerform general housekeeping duties for the following areas: dressing room, training room, coach's office, bathrooms, showers, and hallwaysCommunicate with opposing trainers and equipment personnel regarding building availability, arrival times, practice ice schedules, and other logistical detailsGame-day setup of the home team dressing room, visitors' dressing room, and referees' room in accordance with league rulesConduct in-season and postseason inventory of all hockey equipment and suppliesAssist with all aspects of team travel, serving as the primary point of contact during travelDevelop contacts throughout the league to become familiar with arena regulations and setup, while building relationships with equipment manufacturer representatives and vendorsDevelop a working budget for the following season based on end-of-season inventoryManage the process of soliciting bids, preparing purchase orders, and following up on bids and orders throughout the summerMaintain effective and accurate recordsPerform other duties as assignedAbilities and Skills:Ability to sharpen skatesAbility to perform skate repairs (blade replacement, riveting, eyelet replacement, punching, and oven fitting)Ability to sewAbility to make effective hockey equipment modificationsAbility to maintain accurate records, including the hockey operations budget, with an emphasis on cost-saving measuresAbility to maintain effective working relationships with management, league officials, facility representatives, the media, fellow employees, and the general publicProficient in Microsoft Office or similar softwareEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredBachelor's degree, or progress toward completion of a bachelor's degree, preferred but not requiredAdditional Information:Reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license and proof of insuranceCompensation:$50,000 per year, plus benefitsReports to: Head Coach Position Classification: Full-Time, Seasonal (Late Summer – End of Hockey Season)Duties and Responsibilities:Abilities and Skills:Education and Experience:Additional Information:Compensation:
