This role reports to the Controller and provides broad exposure to financial analysis, accounting operations, and reporting across a rapidly growing, multi-entity retail company.This is a roll-up-your-sleeves position for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset — a self-starter who takes ownership, asks questions, and looks for ways to improve how things work rather than waiting to be told. We move fast and grow fast, and we want someone who's motivated to grow with us.ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Management AnalysisSupport financial and management analysis across business units, including KPI tracking and monitoringAssist with expense management and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reductionSupport inventory management and analysis, partnering with operations to improve accuracyProvide analytical support for due diligence on new acquisitions and special projectsHelp prepare analysis presented to senior leadershipAccounts Payable & Receivable ProcessingProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on timeAssist with transaction accounting across multiple corporate entitiesSupport reconciliation of monthly accounts, including bank statement reviewsHelp resolve discrepancies and respond to vendor and customer inquiriesData & Financial ReportingAssist with consolidated financial reporting and month-end close supportPrepare data analysis and reports using Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and other toolsSupport sales and use tax filing and related compliance reportingHelp maintain accurate, organized records to support audits and GAAP complianceOther related duties as assigned.What We're Looking ForEntrepreneurial, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative without a lot of hand-holdingBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or actively pursuing one — recent graduates and upcoming graduates encouraged to applyUnderstanding of basic accounting principles, including financial statement preparationStrong communication skills and responsiveness to tasks and questionsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn and grow — above-average growth is expected in line with the company's rapid growthResourceful in using AI tools to expedite research, analysis, and reportingProficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Google Suite a plusExperience with an ERP system (preferably Intacct) a plus, though not requiredThis is a full-time, in-person position based in Eatontown, NJProlonged periods of working on a computerWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.About Soccer PostSoccer Post is the leading soccer specialty company in the United States.
