OverviewThe Director of Corporate Sales is responsible for solicitation and execution of Corporate Advertising, Sponsorship, Partnership and Premium Seating sales (collectively, “Corporate Sales”) for the Maine Mariners ECHL Hockey Team. Basic functions include the sales, development, and servicing of Corporate Partnerships while maintaining high levels of client service. This role pays an annual salary of $60,000-$75,000 and is commission eligible.Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays) This position will remain open until October 30, 2026.ResponsibilitiesProspect, sell, cultivate and maintain new Corporate Sales for the venue and their subsequent renewalPro-actively make cold calls & for cash and expense-relieving trade sales presentations for the teamAll aspects of Corporate Sales fulfillment for his/her clients (i.e. collect copy, coordinate signage production and installation, etc.)Populate and maintain Sales Report on an on-going basisEmail activity summary and Sales Report on a weekly-basis to General Manager, Vice President of Partnerships, and Senior Vice President of PartnershipsUtilize Salesforce to house all sales activity and dataCreate recaps for Corporate Partners (when requested by Partner)Strengthen and enhance relationships and communication with Corporate Partners through various means, including, but not limited to, direct contact, newsletters, and Corporate Partner gatherings Brainstorm and develop new client initiatives to better serve the Corporate Partners and / or generate revenue for venueDesign / Develop sales proposals and presentations for potential Corporate Partners Work with the Box Office and Marketing departments on opportunities to cross-sell inventory and assets Work with the Operations department (and others) to identify venue expenses that may be alleviated via trade agreements (or leveraged for reciprocal sponsorship)Track prospective sales and inventoryWorking and attend team and OVG eventsAssist Finance Department on collections, if requiredOther duties as assignedQualifications5-7+ years sales experience in the sports & entertainment industry strongly preferredBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityStrong organizational skillsDemonstrates or has prior advertising/sponsorship experience/knowledge of local corporate market and/or industryProficiency with MS Office applications (including Power Point, Word and Excel)Ability to work nights, all events, weekends, events and holidays as requiredAbility to work independently both efficiently and effectively Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet strict deadlines
