About OneTeam PartnersOneTeam Partners (OneTeam) is a global leader in sports licensing, marketing, sponsorship, and media, specializing in commercializing group licensing rights for college and professional athletes. Established in 2019, OneTeam is a joint venture between the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), MLB Players Association (MLBPA), Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA), MLS Players Association (MLSPA), National Women’s Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA), and U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team Players Association (USWNTPA), with backing from HPS, General Atlantic, and Morgan Stanley Tactical. OneTeam represents the group name, image, and likeness rights for the athlete members of these associations, as well as those from the U.S. Rugby Players Association (USRPA), League Championship Series Players Association (LCSPA), and thousands of college athletes. By leveraging the group IP and influence of these athletes, OneTeam creates value in games and interactive, consumer products, sponsorship, athlete and partner marketing, and content and media. Location Los Angeles, CA (In-Office) SchedulePart-Time (up to 20 hours per week, preferably Tuesday – Thursday, exact schedule TBD)Role SummaryThe Strategy & Growth MBA Intern will support the Corporate Strategy & Growth team in evaluating new business opportunities, conducting research, and contributing to key strategic initiatives. This role offers exposure to cross-functional projects and provides an opportunity to learn how strategic decisions are developed and implemented across the organization. The MBA Intern will work closely with team members across multiple business units, including Games, Interactive & Experiences; Consumer Products; Sponsorship, Athlete & Partner Marketing, and Content; as well as gain exposure to OneTeam’s affiliate businesses including OneTeam International and EnOne Ventures.What You'll GainHands-on experience working on high-impact strategic projectsDirect exposure to company leadership and cross-functional teams Insight into the sports and athlete business ecosystem Opportunity to develop and present recommendations that can influence real business decisionsPrimary Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct research on industries, market trends, and potential growth opportunities Support the development of presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders Assist in gathering and organizing data for business cases and strategic initiatives, including financial analysis and modeling support Help analyze performance metrics and summarize key insights Contribute to brainstorming sessions and strategic discussions Provide general project support across the Strategy & Growth team Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as neededKey Skills, Experience and QualificationsCurrently pursuing an MBA degree (business, economics, finance, or related field preferred) and 2+ years professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate strategy & business development preferredStrong interest in strategy, business development, sports and media industry, athlete-driven businesses, athlete advocacy, and OneTeam’s missionStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Strong communication and organizational skills Team-oriented with a proactive, eager-to-learn mindsetCompensationHourly Rate: $18.47 per hourThis position is classified as temporary, part-time, hourly, non-exempt, and thus eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. Final hourly rate may be amended based on background and experience. This position is not eligible for benefits.Working Conditions This position operates primarily in a professional office work environment. The internship typically requires a part-time commitment during standard business hours, preferably Tuesday through Thursday, with scheduling flexibility based on academic commitments and team needs. The role involves regular use of standard office technology including computers, spreadsheets, email, and video conferencing platforms. Responsibilities include data entry and coordination with internal teams. Physical demands are typical of an office setting and include extended periods of sitting and computer use.
