About the Columbus FuryThe Columbus Fury are a professional women's volleyball team competing in Major League Volleyball (MLV) — the premier professional women's volleyball league in North America. With new executive and coaching leadership in place for the 2027 season, we are in an active build phase: establishing the systems, processes, and organizational infrastructure necessary to support a growing franchise.Every match night is a show. This role helps build it, call it, and keep it running.The RoleThe Coordinator, Event Production will support the executive producer and event production department in the design, creation, and delivery of highly engaging, strategically aligned, live match day experiences at Nationwide Arena, as well as other major signature events for the Columbus Fury — internal meetings, team events, celebrations, press conferences, community events, and more. This position reports to the Executive Producer.In practice, that means the prematch show, set break promotions, in-match activations, and the run-of-show documents that hold them together. On match night you are the day-to-day contact for the spirit team, floor crew, mascot, audio-visual crew, PA announcer, in-arena host, and stage managers, and the point of contact with arena operations for set-up and execution.Between matches, the work is talent and community groups, fan promotions and giveaways, production budgets, and post-match reporting — coordinated with corporate and client services, creative services, ticketing, marketing, communications, and volleyball operations.What You'll OwnShow ProductionAssist in planning and executing all in-arena entertainment show elements for home matches, including prematch shows, set break promotions and performances, and in-match activations.Under direction of the executive producer, create run-of-show documents for all match-night staff, performers, and production personnel.Coordinate the schedule for the audio-visual crew.Ensure all video boards, sound cues, and lighting effects are executed correctly, as well as match technology platforms.Match Night OperationsUnder the direction of the executive producer, act as day-to-day contact, scheduler, and match-night manager of the spirit team, floor crew, mascot, audio-visual crew, PA announcer, in-arena host, and stage managers.Manage relationships with arena operations as it relates to match set-up and execution.Act as the coordinator and point of contact for operations of each match per the league operations match manual.Talent, Promotions & ActivationsResearch, solicit, and manage entertainment acts and community groups for in-match appearances.Coordinate fan interactive promotions, contests, and other on-court activations.Research, secure, and manage all necessary match giveaways, props, and prizes.Budget, Partners & ReportingTrack production budgets for entertainment elements and reconcile expenses against the match operations budget.Support corporate and client services, creative services, ticketing, marketing, communications, volleyball operations, and other departments to determine needs and execution for match day events.Prepare post-match reports documenting execution quality, fan response, and issues requiring follow-up.What We're Looking ForEducationBachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, or a related field preferred.Experience2–3 years of experience in event management or operations, particularly in a sports setting.Experience in show-calling.Experience in video production, editing, graphic creation, and audio editing preferred.Strong leadership and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to take direction and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Why the FuryThis seat sits at the center of match night, working directly with the executive producer, arena operations, and every department that touches the show.Women's sports is one of the most compelling growth stories in American culture right now, and professional volleyball is at the center of it.
