Senior Staff Accountant

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting with the timely and accurate preparation of financial information for Dallas Sports & Entertainment, L.P., its subsidiaries, related parties, and interests. The incumbent performs accounting functions, data entry, and financial analysis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Record journal entries and assist with monthly and year-end close processesAssist in preparing, reviewing, and presenting monthly financial statement packages and forecasts for assigned departments and entitiesReconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basisAssist with rolling forward and preparing annual department budget templatesSupport annual audits, league reporting, and annual tax filingsCreate and maintain supporting analysis files to support business decisionsBuild relationships with assigned department heads and participate in monthly meetings, as neededSupport other team members' roles as needed JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA preferredTwo or more years of relevant experience requiredAbility to multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work under tight deadlines requiredAbility to communicate effectively with other departments, customers, and vendorsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on ExcelStrong attention to detailPhysical Demands and Working EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle large objects, tools, and carts, and operate machinery. The employee may also be required to reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear for up to 8-14 hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
