Internship - Corporate Sponsorship (Partnership Activations)

The Kansas City Mavericks are looking for a driven and enthusiastic intern to join our team during the 2026 - 2027 season. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor with the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors at all levels (both internally and externally) and take pride in all work completed. The individual needs to be detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines. Individual must also have the ability to work independently, take initiative, provide solutions, and make informed decisions. The Corporate Sponsorship Intern will focus on contract fulfillment and help with Corporate Sponsorship sales as needed.Pre-game Tasks:Assist with preparing and setting up sponsor activations and promotional itemsOrganize sponsor signage, giveaways, coupons, and other activation materialsHelp coordinate sponsor needs and ensure all assets are ready before doors openHelp prepare displays and promotional areasAssist with theme night and promotional event setupComplete pre-game activation checklists to ensure everything is in place and ready for an excellent fan experienceIn-game Tasks:Assist with executing sponsor activations throughout the gameHelp coordinate on-ice and in-game promotionsDistribute sponsor giveaways, promotional items, and prizesAssist with sponsor hospitality and ensure partners have what they need for a great experienceCommunicate with game presentation and operations staff as neededPost-Game Tasks:Help take down any signage and activation materials on nights when tear down is neededPut away and organize materials so they are ready for the next gameMake notes about what went well and anything that may need to be changed for the next gameHelp clean up and reset activation areas after the gameOffice Tasks:Help keep track of sponsor activations and what has been completedHelp organize sponsor materials, giveaways, and suppliesAssist with getting materials ready for upcoming games and eventsHelp come up with new ideas for sponsor activations and fan engagementHelp put together sponsor recaps after games and events (DigiDeck)Update spreadsheets and other tracking documentsHelp with research for potential sponsors, promotions, and activation ideasAssist with other day-to-day tasks in the Partnership Activations departmentQualificationsCurrent college student (undergraduate or graduate).
