Internship - Community Relations

The Kansas City Mavericks are looking for a driven, enthusiastic intern to join our team during the 2026 - 2027 season. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor with the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors at all levels (both internally and externally) and take pride in all work completed. The individual needs to be detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines. Individual must also have the ability to work independently, take initiative, provide solutions, and make informed decisions.Essential DutiesSupport community engagement initiatives, including but not limited to, planning, setup, and on-site activationProvide gameday support to the Manager of Community Relations, help with gameday activation elements related to various community partners, theme nights, and in-game activationsParticipate in the planning and execution of various player events in the community, ensuring a strong team presence and engagementHelp manage the coordination and fulfillment of community donation requests and auction packagesInteract with clients, answer questions regarding community initiatives, promotions, and gameday procedures, and resolve situations as necessaryAssist with the setup, management, and breakdown of the promotional table during home gamesHelp gameday staff with door giveaways, intermission activities, and other various theme night promotionsOther roles and responsibilities may be requiredQualificationsCurrent college student (undergraduate or graduate).
