Now is your time to be part of the workforce that is creating this unique and unforgettable experience.Please submit your CV in English, as it will be reviewed by an international team.THE POSITIONThe Functional Signage & Commodities Manager reports to the Dressing and Signage Senior Manager, serving as a key member of the FIFA27 Operations team in close collaboration with the Venue Management team and other stakeholders. The FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™ requires outstanding look and feel project to be delivered in a seamless tournament experience. The Functional Signage & Commodities Manager is responsible for leading the venue branding, look and signage operations and delivery strategy from planning through implementation to closure across all FIFA Official Sites. This position is responsible for overseeing the collation and delivery of all functional signage and standard dressing commodity requirements across all official sites at the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™, ensuring that the look and feel is up to FIFA quality standards. Functional Signage (alternatively known as functional area signage or FA Signage) refers to the signage that individual departments within FIFA27 require to ensure their spaces and facilities can function as required for the event. The signage can be used to designate rooms and spaces, as well as display operational necessary information and will be utilized at all official sites at FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™. These signs can come in a variety of sizes and can be wall mounted or freestanding. These signs are fundamental to the smooth operation of the events and the requirements are collated in collaboration with the functional areas that are responsible for the room, area or space. Functional signage may also include some handheld ‘lollipop’ signage, venue maps, seat designation and functional area specific information such as QR codes. Dressing Commodities (sometimes referred to as ‘Kit of Parts’ or ‘KOP” items) are standard dressing items that can be ordered by functional areas in order to support the delivery of their function or to enhance the look of a space they are responsible for. Dressing examples include, but are not exclusive to: freestanding backdrops, event branded table skirts and cloths, flags and banners which may also contain functional information. In addition, custom, non-KOP treatments may also be ordered if deemed necessary and within agreed service level limits. They will work with multiple functional areas across the FIFA27 and associated teams to successfully record all of their functional signage requirements; work with the language services team to ensure that all Functional Signage is translated to the necessary languages; work with the design team to ensure all functional signage and dressing commodities are designed and artworked to be consistent with the Signage Kit of Parts; and work with the appointed signage suppliers to ensure that all requirements are produced and delivered to all FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™ official sites in a timely manner and to agreed deadlines. The role requires a high attention to detail and would suit a tenacious individual who enjoys working in close collaboration with people from across the organization. The role is heavily weighed towards data collation and would suit a candidate from a project-based background, with no specific requirement for this to be within events or signage - although such experience or skills would be advantageous.Key Responsibilities Contributing to the delivery of a world class dressing and signage project for all target groups attending matches of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™. Collating all FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ functional signage and dressing commodity requirements in collaboration with the functional areas from across the organization. Acting as the focal point for the functional areas on all requests. Managing the functional signage and dressing commodity requirements content management system and ensuring all information provided is consistent and correct. Liaison with appointed suppliers to ensure FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ meet all production deadlines for functional signage and dressing commodities. Ensuring the appointed suppliers deliver, and where necessary install all functional signage and dressing commodities as per the requested timelines. Quality control of printed products to ensure they are meeting the agreed standards. Acting as the point of contact for all Dressing and Signage team members with regards to their functional area commodity and signage questions. Liaison with Language Services Department to add items to the glossary as per the requests from the functional areas. Terms will be received in English and translated to Portuguese (Brazilian). Proofing of functional signage artwork including checking wording matches that in the glossary in the required languages. Constant monitoring of the budgetary impact of functional signage and dressing commodities operations and reporting updates into the Senior Manager and Head of Department regularly. Contributing to Dressing and Signage team meetings as and when required. Ability to possibly be relocated to a Host City for up to three months in to act as a Dressing and Signage Venue Manager at an allocated stadium during the event periods. YOUR PROFILE Strong experience in a project or data management role, ideally with tangible experience in delivering dressing, signage, branding or look projects for events of a similar scale to FIFA World Cups, Olympic Games etc. A working understanding of the technical aspects of delivering dressing and signage projects (i.e. production methods, installation techniques, materials etc.) Strong understanding of stadium look and feel requirements and large-scale temporary installations. Budget management experience on complex and multi-faceted events and projects. Experience in managing providers of services for world-class events. Knowledge of event planning, requirements and event project management processes for large sporting events. Significant stakeholder management experience across multiple organizations and departments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and implement effective solutions. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education) Design, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools. The role will require extensive use of the appointed Dressing and Signage Supplier(s) project, content and scoping management systems so a readiness to learn new technology processes, systems and programs is essential. The role will require attending site visits and being away from home for periods of time, including on-site attendance during the tournament period. Right to work in Brazil. Bilingual – Brazilian Portuguese and English. Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
