Watkins Glen International is seeking a positive, driven, highly motivated, coachable, and passionate individual to join the team as a Group Sales Account Executive tasked with driving group sales ticket revenue at the NASCAR business unit. The Account Executive, Group Sales, is responsible for group ticket sales and driving revenue growth through daily sales operations, including relationship development and innovative group sales programs.This position plays a critical role in developing talent, identifying new market opportunities, and delivering exceptional fan and client experiences while meeting and exceeding ticket revenue goals.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGenerate new sales revenue through prospecting, cold calling, and in-person appointmentsProactively seek new leads through referrals, networking, and prospecting businesses and organizationsMaintain a 60-80 call per day volume as well as an aggressive meetings scheduleSet appointments with key decision makers in the community to assess the opportunity to develop and grow opportunitiesResponsible for the growth of existing relationships in order for the client to maximize spend and generate repeat businessRenew and provide enhanced opportunities and/or experiences to existing group sales customersAssist with the creation, development and implementation of new concepts designed to generate new sales revenue streamsMeet and exceed weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goalsMaintain accurate and detailed records of all current clients and prospects within our CRM systemProvide superior customer service to clients and prospects both in-person and over the phoneExecute group sales set up, execution and delivery of client services on race dayQualificationsBachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum one (1) year of sales experience, preferably in a sports sales environmentStrong verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills Comfortable making cold calls on the phoneComfortable making face to face sales presentationsStrong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skillsAbility to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)Previous CRM and ticketing platforms experience a plusMust have a valid driver’s licenseRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, use hands to feel and handle, ability to lift 20 pounds and see including close visionMust be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended numbers of days.
