Position SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support financial operations across our diverse and exciting portfolio, with a primary focus on our North Carolina-based teams and ventures. This is a unique opportunity to combine strong accounting skills with a passion for sports and entertainment, including involvement with basketball, hockey, and baseball organizations. Key ResponsibilitiesRecord and categorize financial transactions using QuickBooks OnlineProcess payroll for multiple sports and marketing entitiesManage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliationsReconcile bank and credit card statementsSupport accounts payable and receivable functionsMaintain accurate and organized financial recordsReview and analyze financial statementsOversee 1099 processPrepare ad-hoc reports and financial analysis as neededPrepare and file sales tax returns QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of accounting experienceProficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft ExcelStrong understanding of GAAPExperience working with multiple entities or projectsExcellent communication, organizational, and time management skillsPrior payroll experience preferredExperience with sports, event, or entertainment accounting a plus Benefits401(k)Paid time offHealth, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceRemote work flexibilityCareer growth opportunities in a vibrant, multi-sport organizationTickets to games at our growing list of professional hockey, basketball, and baseball teams· Discounts on merchandise including team gear, event apparel, and fan merchandise Work ScheduleThis position requires a Monday to Friday schedule with working hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
