Help research fan engagement trends, entertainment ideas, and mascot best practices to enhance the game-day experience. Work collaboratively with the marketing, communications, partnerships, and volleyball operations departments to support organizational goals. Respond to appearance requests and internal communications in a timely and professional manner. Provide additional support for marketing events, promotional activities, and special projects as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Formal Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Knowledge & Experience: Previous experience in a community relations role or a programming role preferred. Event planning experience preferred. Computer and programming skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites. Personal Attributes: Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Are you passionate about sports, storytelling, and creating engaging content? We're looking for a creative and motivated Social Media & Content Intern to join our team for the Fall Semester. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside our Marketing team to create compelling internal content that showcases our leagues, events, players, and community.As a Social Media & Content Intern, you'll help bring the Volo experience to life by capturing photos and videos, creating social media content, highlighting player stories, and supporting internal marketing initiatives. You'll gain valuable experience in content creation, social media strategy, and brand storytelling while helping grow engagement across our digital platforms.This internship provides real-world experience in sports marketing, content production, and social media management. By the end of the semester, you'll have built a strong portfolio of creative work and gained practical skills that will prepare you for a career in sports marketing, digital media, or content creation.Responsibilities Capture photo and video content at leagues, tournaments, and special events. Create engaging content for Instagram and other social media platforms. Develop short-form video content, including Reels that showcases the Volo community and game-day experience. Assist with planning and maintaining the social media content calendar. Write engaging captions and help schedule posts across social media platforms. Support internal marketing campaigns that promote leagues, events, and community initiatives. Highlight player experiences, league champions, and behind-the-scenes moments. Edit photos and videos using creative software and mobile editing tools. Monitor social media trends and recommend new content ideas to increase engagement. Collaborate with Operations, Partnerships, and Marketing teams to tell authentic stories from across the organization. Assist with content organization, asset management, and performance reporting. What You'll GainFlexible schedule of 5–10 hours per week (1/2 admin and 1/2 in the field). Hands-on experience managing social media for a sports organization. A portfolio of professional photo, video, and digital content. Experience with content planning, production, editing, and publishing.
