WHAT YOU’LL DO As a member of the Ticket Office Event Staff, you'll support ticket operations during Brickyard Weekend. In this role, you'll assist guests, provide outstanding customer service, and help create a positive experience for fans attending one of the premier racing weekends at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Provide guests with a positive first impression of Indianapolis Motor Speedway by delivering friendly, professional service. Assist guests with ticket purchases, exchanges, and questions while providing accurate information regarding Brickyard Weekend. Accurately process ticket sales and payments using the IMS ticketing system. Maintain a strong knowledge of the IMS facility, including grandstands, gates, parking areas, and event policies Operate assigned ticket locations during event operations. Maintain confidential customer and business information. Communicate guest concerns or operational issues to supervisors as needed. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s). WHAT YOU BRING We’re looking for someone who is dependable, customer-focused, and ready to contribute to a positive guest experience. Required Experience & Skills: Flexible, adaptable, and punctual. FLEXIBILITY & TRAVEL No travel required. Required ability includes Brickyard Weekend, including long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Work schedules vary based on event needs and department assignments. Overtime may be required based on event operations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.. Extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking (as needed) Assisting with event set-up and tear down may be requested. Must be able to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction and communicate verbally and in written form with great facility and be understood Must have the stamina to work long hours and be willing to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends or evenings WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced, collaborative office and event settings. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on event assignments and operational needs Staff will experience frequent interruptions and must be prepared to interact with others on a regular basis.. Position SummaryUnder the direct supervision and mentorship of HJGT Tournament Directors and Staff Members, Interns will learn how to operate golf tournaments through their active involvement with all aspects of tournament operations, from course setup to course breakdown. WHAT YOU’LL DO The role of the Ticket Operations Coordinator is to support all ticketing department activities for major IMS events — including the INDYCAR Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500, and Brickyard Weekend — as well as other ticket-related ancillary events. In this role, you’ll play an important part in delivering top-tier experiences to fans, partners, and teams across the motorsports world. You’ll take ownership of key responsibilities, collaborate across departments, and bring energy and innovation to a fast-paced environment. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service Provide all guests with a positive first impression of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by delivering superior, individualized guest service. Communicate positively with guests via telephone, in person, email, and online chat to efficiently identify their needs and provide accurate information regarding all IMS events. Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients. Ticket Sales and Service Learn and utilize the IMS computer ticket system (SCORE), along with other technology programs and applications, to assist customers with sales, fulfillment, and renewals. Assist guests with purchasing and distributing tickets, parking, and other applicable add-on products. Manage cash and credit card transactions responsibly and accurately; balance batches and submit to the Financial Coordinator. Resolve issues by communicating effectively with staff and guests as they arise. Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to explain all available products to customers. Maintain a high level of knowledge of the IMS facility, including stands, parking/camping areas, and special event sites. Package and prepare for mailing tickets, parking/camping passes, and product orders for all events. Process annual renewals for all major events. Accurately maintain confidential customer data and business information. Operate and maintain individualized remote ticket locations during event times as assigned. Other Serve as the lead or backup for one or more main Ticket Office functions (e.g., ticket fulfillment, ticket transfers, maintaining current customer data, etc.).
