Job Responsibilities Serve as primary staff liaison of assigned governing sports committees and provide effective, efficient daily coordination, facilitation, and leadership of the championship, including but not limited to: Provide leadership to assigned sports committees and coordinate the selection and assignment of teams/individuals, sites, and officials for the championships by following established principles and guidelines. Edit and oversee the accurate and timely annual production and posting of championship manuals for assigned sports. Plan and conduct the championships and related activities within the budget established. Manage budgets for each championship, including internal financial reports and forecasting, and the review, adjustments, and approval of budgets/settlements with preliminary round and finals site hosts. Identify, manage, and train site representatives selected to serve at preliminary round competition. Provide leadership and support for annual sport committee meetings, including providing all meeting materials and authoring a post-meeting report. Conduct site visits to appropriately plan for championships and to ensure consistent application of championship policies and procedures. Attend the championships and oversee game management and ancillary functions at the site of competition. Complete a written post-event evaluation of each championship annually. Assist in the management of issues by meeting with constituent groups, attending coaches’ association meetings/conventions. Serve as the Association’s liaison with selected national governing bodies when applicable. Correspond (both in writing and on the telephone) with administrators, coaches, student-athletes, parents, and the general public regarding various topics related to the NCAA championships. Oversee strategic initiatives for assigned championships. Serve on assigned project teams for key initiatives within championships and alliances. Other duties as assigned.
