Our proprietary audience intelligence platform, EPIC, is the engine through which we translate fandom data, community signals, and audience attributes into the planning decisions that drive real brand growth. The Manager of Audience & Data Strategy is a hands-on contract role for a practitioner with four to six years of experience in audience planning and data activation within a media agency context. You are not a research analyst or a brand strategist — you are a media-trained practitioner who understands how audience intelligence translates directly into channel targeting, media investment decisions, and campaign architecture. Your background is in media, not consumer insight. You have worked inside agencies, you understand how buying and planning teams use audience data, and you know the difference between an insight and an audience that can actually be activated across paid media platforms.Your primary tool will be Elevate's EPIC platform - and you must have done this kind of operational audience work before. We are not looking for someone learning what audience strategy means in a media context. We are looking for someone who operates audience and data platforms day-to-day, builds audience segments, maps them to media targeting, and closes the loop with performance data- because they have been doing exactly that.RESPONSIBILITIESAUDIENCE BUILDING & SEGMENTATIONOperate Elevate's EPIC platform to define, build, and profile target audiences for client campaigns — constructing segments based on behavioral, attitudinal, cultural, and community signals that go beyond demographic proxies.Build audience architectures that span the full funnel — defining distinct segments for awareness, consideration, and conversion objectives, and articulating how each should be reached and sequenced across channels.Conduct audience sizing and opportunity analysis — using EPIC and supplementary data sources to understand the scale, reachability, and commercial value of target audience segments.Maintain and evolve audience profiles over the course of client engagements — updating segment definitions as campaign data, platform signals, and client business context develop.Manage audience data quality and validation — ensuring segment logic is accurate, targeting parameters are correctly applied, and audience data inputs from first-party, second-party, and third-party sources are clean and current.AUDIENCE BRIEF DEVELOPMENT & PLANNING INTEGRATIONDevelop structured audience briefs for each client engagement — documenting audience definitions, key attributes, platform behaviors, content affinities, and channel propensities in formats that are directly usable by media planning and buying teams.Translate audience intelligence from EPIC into specific, actionable media targeting strategies — mapping audience attributes to platform targeting capabilities across paid social, programmatic, search, influencer, and linear TV.Work directly with channel specialists — paid social, programmatic, influencer, and search managers — to ensure audience definitions are correctly implemented in buying platforms, and that targeting parameters reflect the strategic intent.Apply EPIC audience data to influencer discovery and creator selection — cross-referencing audience profiles against creator audience demographics to validate genuine overlap with target segments.DATA PLATFORM OPERATIONS & ACTIVATIONManage day-to-day operations within audience and data platforms — including DMP/CDP environments, DSP audience activation, and data partner integrations — ensuring audiences are correctly onboarded, shared with partners, and tracked.Oversee the process of defining audiences to be targeted, sharing data with channel partners, and tracking audience-level performance — maintaining accurate records of audience builds, platform activations, and delivery outcomes.Manage first-party data onboarding where available — working with Elevate's data engineering team to ensure client CRM data, customer lists, and event data are correctly ingested and activated within platform environments.Identify addressable audience overlap across channels — using EPIC data and platform insights to understand where audiences intersect, how to sequence messaging across touchpoints, and where frequency and reach trade-offs should be made.AUDIENCE RESEARCH & INTELLIGENCEConduct structured audience research using EPIC alongside supplementary tools — synthesising fandom data, cultural signals, social listening, and platform audience insights into a coherent view of who clients should be talking to and why.Identify emerging audience segments, cultural communities, and fandom clusters that represent growth opportunities for client brands — surfacing intelligence that proactively shapes planning conversations.Develop competitive audience intelligence — mapping where competitor brands are reaching their audiences, identifying under-served segments, and flagging audience opportunities that clients are currently missing.Contribute audience intelligence to new business pitches and planning proposals — bringing Elevate's EPIC positioning to life with specific, well-grounded audience analysis tailored to prospective clients.PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK & OPTIMISATIONWork closely with Elevate's analytics team to close the loop between planned audiences and delivered performance — reviewing audience-level campaign data, identifying which segments are performing, and feeding insights back into future audience strategy.Develop audience learning agendas for client accounts — identifying the hypotheses most in need of testing, and structuring test approaches that generate actionable intelligence about which audiences drive the strongest commercial outcomes.Contribute to post-campaign reviews with a specific focus on audience performance — documenting what the data revealed about audience behavior and how EPIC profiles should be refined for the next planning cycle.QUALIFICATIONSESSENTIALFour to six years of experience in audience planning, data activation, or audience strategy within a media agency or specialist media planning environment.Hands-on experience operating audience and data platforms — DMPs, CDPs, or proprietary audience intelligence tools — in a media context, with the ability to build and activate segments independently from day one.Deep understanding of how audience intelligence translates into media targeting — including platform-specific audience capabilities across Meta, Google, DV360, TikTok, and programmatic buying environments.Experience developing structured audience briefs and audience architecture documents that are directly used by media buying and planning teams.Working knowledge of audience data types — first-party CRM data, third-party data enrichment, contextual signals, and behavioral data — and how each is applied and activated within media platforms.Analytical capability: comfortable working with audience sizing data, platform audience insights, and post-campaign audience performance metrics.Strong written communication: able to produce clear, well-structured audience briefs and strategy documents that translate complex data into actionable planning direction.DESIRABLEExperience working within a fandom, community-based, or cultural planning framework — understanding how shared identity and community membership shape media behavior.Familiarity with social listening tools (Brandwatch, Pulsar, Audiense, or equivalent) and how social signal data enriches audience profiles.Experience applying audience intelligence to influencer selection — cross-referencing audience data with creator audience profiles to validate alignment.Working knowledge of data clean room environments (Google Ads Data Hub, Amazon Marketing Cloud) and how first-party audience data is activated within them.Experience contributing audience strategy to new business pitches and proposals.Familiarity with audience performance reporting and the metrics used to evaluate segment-level delivery across programmatic, paid social, and addressable channels.WORKING CONDITIONSThis is a freelance contract position. To learn more and see what we’ve been up to, follow Elevate on X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.DIGITAL MEDIA CLIENT LEADElevate is a specialist paid media agency built on the conviction that the most powerful brand growth happens inside communities — when media strategy is grounded in deep audience intelligence, genuine cultural understanding, and a relentless focus on commercial outcomes. Our clients are ambitious, digitally-native growth brands, and the people who serve them need to be every bit as driven as they are.The Digital Client Lead is one of the most important roles at Elevate. It sits at the intersection of two things that most agencies keep apart: senior client partnership and genuine digital strategy expertise. This is not a client services role with a digital veneer, nor a strategy role that avoids client responsibility. It is both — fully. You are the single point of contact for your clients and the strategic digital lead on every account you own.You will have spent seven to ten years building your career in digital marketing, working your way up through agency environments where you have developed genuine command of the digital landscape — paid social, programmatic, search, analytics, measurement, influencer, and the commercial logic that connects all of them to business growth. You understand how digital channels work together, what good looks like at every stage of the funnel, and how to translate complex performance data into clear, confident strategic guidance. On the client side, you are a trusted partner at CMO and marketing director level. You run senior engagements with authority, bring ideas forward before clients ask for them, and take ownership of outcomes — not just activity. Internally, you work closely with Elevate's day-to-day media management and analytics teams, taking their inputs and translating them into the strategic narrative that drives client decisions.RESPONSIBILITIESDIGITAL STRATEGY & ACCOUNT LEADERSHIPYou are the lead digital strategist on your accounts. That means defining the strategic direction, owning the recommendations, and ensuring every channel decision connects back to client business objectives — not just media metrics.Define full-funnel digital strategies across client accounts — translating business goals into channel investment frameworks that are commercially rigorous, audience-led, and grounded in measurable outcomes.Serve as the single point of contact for senior client stakeholders — acting as the strategic partner they come to first for guidance on what to do, what has been done, and what it means for their business.Lead the development and presentation of digital strategies, media plans, and performance frameworks — owning the narrative, the numbers, and the recommendations with full commercial confidence. Take inputs from Elevate's day-to-day media management team and translate them into clear strategic direction: synthesising performance data, channel updates, and emerging opportunities into a coherent, client-facing point of view.Define optimal channel mix and tactical priorities across paid social, programmatic, search, influencer, and emerging digital channels — drawing on your own expertise and the capabilities of the specialist team around you.Stay closely attuned to the evolving digital and DTC landscape: platform changes, new formats, measurement developments, and what is actually driving growth for brands in your clients' categories right now.CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT & GROWTHYou own the client relationship completely — from the strategic conversations that shape priorities, to the day-to-day confidence that everything is being managed well and proactively communicated.Build and maintain senior relationships across your client portfolio — with marketing directors, CMOs, and brand leadership who trust your strategic guidance and rely on your digital expertise.Build relationships that go beyond the campaign: understanding each client's business model, growth objectives, competitive dynamics, and commercial pressures, and using that knowledge to bring forward ideas and opportunities they have not asked for yet.Lead senior client engagements — strategy sessions, quarterly business reviews, budget planning conversations — with the presence and commercial depth to drive real decisions.Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to expand the scope and depth of Elevate's work within existing accounts: new channels, new services, and new ways of structuring the relationship that create more value on both sides.Serve as the client's internal champion — ensuring Elevate's media, analytics, planning, and creative teams are fully aligned to what matters most to each brand, and that nothing falls through the cracks between functions.INTERNAL TEAM COLLABORATION & STRATEGIC DIRECTIONYou are not a solo operator. When results need to change, you identify why and drive the change — in partnership with the team, and with full transparency to the client.Own campaign and programme performance across your client portfolio — with genuine accountability for business outcomes, not just delivery of activity.Oversee budget management and forecasting: ensuring investment is paced correctly, allocated intelligently, and reported against KPIs that matter to the business rather than the dashboard.Work alongside Elevate's analytics team to ensure clients have a clear, honest view of media performance — connecting campaign data to business outcomes and presenting that story with confidence to senior stakeholders.Lead test-and-learn programmes within client accounts — identifying the right hypotheses, structuring tests properly, and ensuring results are turned into clear, actionable decisions about what to scale, shift, or stop.Understand the commercial mechanics of your clients' businesses: customer acquisition economics, LTV models, DTC channel dynamics, and how media investment decisions connect to growth and profitability.NEW BUSINESS & AGENCY GROWTHActively contribute to Elevate's new business pipeline — bringing client intelligence, category expertise, and a proven strategic track record to pitches and proposals for brands that fit our ICP.Develop and articulate Elevate's proposition in new business contexts — translating our fandom intelligence positioning, audience platform, and measurement capabilities into a compelling, commercially relevant case for prospective clients.Identify and develop case study material from existing client work that demonstrates Elevate's approach and results — contributing to the agency's external profile and business development efforts.Represent Elevate at industry events, in thought leadership activity, and in the wider digital marketing community — building the agency's reputation as a specialist in community-based planning and digital growth media.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORThe right candidate has spent seven to ten years building a career in digital marketing — ideally entirely within agency environments, and across a range of digital channels and client types. You are a digital generalist at the senior level: someone who understands how the full ecosystem works, can interrogate decisions across any channel, and can confidently guide clients on what to do and why.You are equally strong on the client side: comfortable running senior relationships, presenting to C-suite stakeholders, and taking ownership of outcomes. You understand that the value you bring is not just knowing digital — it is knowing how to connect digital strategy to the commercial challenges that actually keep your clients up at night.ESSENTIALSeven to ten years of experience in digital marketing, with the majority of that career spent within digital agency environments.Broad, working command of the digital landscape: paid social (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest), programmatic (DV360, The Trade Desk), paid search (Google, Bing), influencer marketing, analytics, and measurement — sufficient to lead strategic discussions across all channels and interrogate channel-level decisions with authority.Demonstrated track record of building and growing senior client relationships — with evidence of proactively identifying and converting account growth opportunities.Experience translating day-to-day performance data and media team outputs into clear, confident strategic direction for senior client stakeholders.Strong strategic grounding in digital media: able to develop full-funnel media strategies, define channel investment frameworks, and connect media activity to commercial outcomes.Commercial confidence: comfortable owning budget conversations, leading QBRs, presenting to CMO-level stakeholders, and making a strong, evidence-based case for strategic recommendations.Experience working with digital-first or DTC brands, with a clear understanding of the acquisition economics, channel dynamics, and growth challenges specific to these businesses.Entrepreneurial mindset — proactive, solutions-oriented, and motivated by the challenge of helping ambitious brands grow through digital media.Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to build compelling narratives that connect digital strategy to business objectives.DESIRABLEDeep experience working with DTC or digitally-native consumer brands, particularly in verticals such as health and wellness, beauty, food and beverage, apparel, or consumer technology.Hands-on platform experience across Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, DV360, TikTok Ads, and analytics platforms — not as a day-to-day practitioner, but with sufficient fluency to interrogate outputs and ask the right questions.Familiarity with measurement approaches including incrementality testing, media mix modelling (MMM), and attribution — and the ability to translate these for non-technical client stakeholders.Experience working within or alongside a fandom, community, or audience intelligence framework.Track record of contributing to new business pitches and agency growth initiatives.Experience mentoring or managing junior team members in a client-facing digital environment.History of publishing thought leadership, speaking at industry events, or contributing to an agency's external profile.WHY ELEVATEElevate offers something that most agencies cannot: the space to actually build. We value recruiting diverse individuals to our team to bring new perspectives to our company and look forward to learning more about you in the recruitment process. To learn more and see what we’ve been up to, follow Elevate on X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.INFLUENCER MARKETING CONSULTANTInfluencer and creator marketing sits at the heart of what Elevate does. Our approach is built on fandom and community-based planning — the belief that the most powerful media connections happen when brands show up authentically inside the communities that already care. This is the role that brings that conviction to life at the client level. This is a senior role for someone who has spent their career at the intersection of culture, creators, and brand strategy. You know the creator economy from the inside — how to identify talent before they peak, how to build relationships that go beyond transactional campaigns, how to match the right voices to the right audiences, and how to prove the commercial value of influencer activity with rigor and confidence. You will own Elevate's influencer marketing practice: its strategy, its creator network, its client output, and the team that delivers it.RESPONSIBILITIESSTRATEGY & PRACTICE LEADERSHIPDefine and own Elevate's influencer and creator marketing strategy — establishing the right platform(s) to partner with and defining our operational model (SaaS management vs Managed Service), methodology, standards, and point of view that differentiates how we approach creator partnerships for clients.Develop influencer programmes that are grounded in Elevate's fandom and community intelligence framework — supporting pitches to define influencer strategy and connecting creator selection to real audience insight rather than follower metrics alone.Shape the agency's POV on the evolving creator economy: platform shifts, emerging content formats, the move from one-off activations to long-term brand–creator partnerships, and the implications for how brands build cultural relevance.Stay current on talent landscape dynamics, compensation norms, platform-specific creator economics, FTC compliance requirements, and content usage rights.Contribute to agency thought leadership, publishing informed perspectives on influencer marketing trends and representing Elevate externally at industry events and in trade press.CREATOR PLATFORMSBuild, maintain, and continuously evolve Elevate's creator network — spanning nano, micro, macro, and premium talent tiers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.Lead talent identification and vetting processes: evaluating creators on audience authenticity, community engagement, brand alignment, content quality, and commercial track record — not follower counts.Oversee contract negotiation for creator platform partnerships.CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT DELIVERYLead the end-to-end development of influencer campaigns for clients — from strategic brief and creator casting through to content oversight, go-live coordination, and performance reporting.Work alongside Elevate's media and planning teams to ensure influencer activity is fully integrated with paid media strategies, with creator content amplified through paid social where appropriate.Oversee creative briefing processes, ensuring creators are given the direction and context to produce content that is authentic to their voice and aligned to client brand and campaign objectives.Act as the senior client-facing voice on influencer strategy — presenting campaign concepts, performance narratives, and market perspectives at director and CMO level.Manage influencer programme budgets with rigor: scoping investment across tier mix, content deliverables, usage rights, and amplification, and reporting against agreed KPIs.MEASUREMENT & COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTABILITYDevelop and implement measurement frameworks that go beyond vanity metrics — connecting influencer activity to meaningful business outcomes including brand awareness, engagement quality, traffic, conversion, and customer acquisition.Work closely with Elevate's analytics function to integrate influencer measurement into broader campaign and MMM frameworks, enabling honest assessment of influencer's incremental contribution to media plans.Build reporting structures that give clients a transparent view of performance across campaigns: what worked, what did not, and what the data suggests about future investment decisions.Champion a test-and-learn culture within the influencer practice — experimenting with new formats, platforms, talent tiers, and activation models, with structured evaluation of results.TEAM LEADERSHIP & CAPABILITY BUILDINGRecruit, manage, and develop a team of influencer managers and campaign specialists, creating an environment of craft, rigor, and genuine passion for the creator economy.Set high standards for how the team identifies talent, manages creator relationships, oversees campaign delivery, and presents results to clients.Identify and manage relationships with influencer marketing platforms, discovery tools, measurement vendors, and talent agencies that extend the team's capability and reach.Collaborate closely with Elevate's media planning, paid social, analytics, and strategy teams to ensure influencer sits as a properly integrated channel — not a siloed activation.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORThe right candidate is a senior influencer and creator marketing professional with deep roots in the creator economy and a clear strategic view of where it is going. You understand both sides of the market — what brands need and what creators value — and you have the relationship capital and cultural intuition to bring them together in ways that produce genuinely effective work. You are equally comfortable shaping multi-channel influencer strategies for ambitious growth brands as you are reviewing contract terms with a creator's management team or coaching a junior team member on how to write a compelling brief. You are not looking for a role where influencer is a bolt-on. You want to build something that genuinely matters to how Elevate competes.ESSENTIALSeven or more years of experience in influencer or creator marketing, with a meaningful portion spent at a marketing agency, creator economy platform, or specialist influencer agency.Proven track record of building and managing influencer programmes at significant scale — across multiple tiers, platforms, and client categories — with demonstrable commercial outcomes.Deep, current knowledge of the creator landscape: who the talent is, how the economics work, what platforms are emerging, and what brands should actually be doing differently.Experience leading talent identification, vetting, negotiation, and relationship management — with established personal contacts across creator talent and management.Strong measurement instincts: able to build frameworks that connect influencer investment to real business outcomes, not just reach and impressions.Experience integrating influencer activity with paid media amplification strategies, particularly paid social.Demonstrated ability to manage, develop, and inspire a team of influencer marketing practitioners.Excellent client communication and senior stakeholder management skills — confident presenting strategy, performance, and commercial recommendations at director and C-suite level.DESIRABLEFamiliarity with influencer measurement platforms (e.g. CreatorIQ, Traackr, Grin, Sprout Social) and an informed view on their relative strengths and limitations.Experience with creator content repurposing and usage rights strategy, including integration of influencer content into paid media and brand-owned channels.Knowledge of FTC compliance, disclosure requirements, and evolving platform policies governing paid creator partnerships.Experience contributing to new business pitches or developing influencer-specific service propositions for agency clients.Existing talent network across priority brand categories such as lifestyle, fashion, beauty, health and wellness, food and beverage, or consumer technology.WHY ELEVATEAt Elevate, influencer marketing is not an add-on service. It sits inside a wider approach to community-based planning and fandom intelligence that gives our work genuine strategic depth. You will have the mandate to build a practice that reflects that ambition — with real leadership scope, a team to develop, and clients who want more than a list of handles and some engagement rates. If you are serious about the creator economy and want to do something with that seriousness, this is the right place.WORKING CONDITIONS:Working Environment: RemoteThis position is open to all qualified candidates.
