Business Solutions is organized into a few groups that work closely together on shared problems: full-stack developers, data engineers, analysts, and digital content, compliance, and financial systems specialists. While this manager partners across the entire team, they own technology project delivery and act as the glue between Business Solutions and the rest of the company. To give a sense of the scope this role helps plan and deliver: rebuilding IMS.com and INDYCAR.com; shipping multiple event mobile apps; building an in-house mobile solution for access control and walk-up sales; partnering with FOX Sports on world-class broadcast viewing experiences and with NTT on cutting-edge fan-experience and AI projects; and delivering live INDYCAR timing & scoring data to fans and teams across multiple channels. All of it has to ship on schedule, against real event deadlines that don't move. The Manager, Technology Projects & Delivery leads the planning, coordination, and execution of technology projects across Penske Entertainment, with a focus on software development efforts, company websites, and cross-department initiatives. It builds strong relationships with stakeholders across nearly every business unit and translates their needs into clear scope and deliverables and keeps work moving through the development teams. This is a hands-on, data-driven role. The Booking Manager will also work cross-functionally with internal departments—including operations, marketing, premium, finance and guest services—to ensure seamless execution and optimal results for all booked events.LOCATION: SAN DIEGO, CAWHAT YOU’LL DO Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of all venue booking activities of Pechanga Arena in alignment with Legends Global live entertainment strategyDrives utilization of the venue by actively promoting its use and negotiating event lease agreements in the best interest of the arena, under the guidance of the General ManagerNegotiates contracts and agreements with promoters, agents, and legal representatives to secure premium content and ensure favorable deal termsCollaborates with the General Manager and Corporate Central Booking Team to develop and manage a comprehensive booking strategy focused on maximizing revenue through high-impact eventsProvides strategic input on event-specific staffing requirements to ensure appropriate resource allocation and event successIdentifies and pursues new booking opportunities, including emerging event types and untapped markets—with a focus on innovative, diverse, and high-profile content across concerts, sports, comedy, family shows, and special eventsContributes to branding and marketing efforts by supporting the development of sales collateral and event marketing strategies across print, digital, press, trade shows, and social media platformsGenerates private event revenues through parking lot bookings or full-private events in the arenaLeads or supports special projects and initiatives as assigned by the General ManagerWHAT YOU BRING A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in venue booking within live entertainment and/or sportsUnderstanding of the facility management industry, including promotions, concerts, family shows, private/corporate events and special events.Experience in contract negotiation, development and executionExcellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic and mature manner with internal and external clients at all levels as well as VIPsExceptional guest and client service capabilitiesMust be able to maintain confidentiality and use the utmost discretion when privy to sensitive informationHighly organized with excellent project coordination and project management skillsMust be a self-starter and have ability to work under minimal supervisionEnterprising and self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to multi-task and prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and ability to learn acquired business systemsMust be flexible and adaptable to changes, when necessaryMust be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as requiredCOMPENSATION Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
