El Segundo, CA, USPosted 31 Jul 2026 Job Title: Manager, Event SalesDepartment: Strategy & GrowthReports to: Senior Director, Business Strategy & Growth Manages: N/A Position Summary: The Manager, Event Sales will lead revenue generation and event management through private event bookings, camps, and strategic space utilization at the UCLA Health Training Center (UHTC). This role is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing new business opportunities across corporate, hospitality, entertainment and community sectors, ensuring a seamless transition from sale to execution of each event. This position will work closely with our facilities & building operations team in maximizing the commercial value of the UCLA Health Training Center while elevating the organization’s premium hospitality and experience offerings.Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities**):Revenue Generation & Sales ExecutionOwn and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to generate profitable event revenue through bookings at UHTCMeet and exceed individual revenue goals, sales quotas, and activity KPIs (calls, meetings, proposals, site tours, and closed deals)Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities across key verticals including corporate meetings, brand activations, private dinners, networking events, wellness experiences, media events, and social gatheringsDevelop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through networking, referrals, outbound reach, and strategic partnershipsBuild customized proposals, price models, and packages aligned with client needs Prepare and provide event profit and loss reports, sales recaps, and projectionsBusiness DevelopmentIdentify new monetization opportunities and strategic venue use casesCollaborate with facilities & building operations to ensure operational feasibility, premium guest experience, and facility readinessEstablish and maintain relationships with event planners, agencies, corporate partners, and local business communitiesAnalyze market trends, competitive venues, and customer demand to position UHTC as a premier destination for private and corporate eventsClient Management & Event CoordinationServe as primary point of contact for clients from lead generation through event execution handoffConduct site tours, presentations, and relationship building meetings to convert opportunities into bookingsMaintain accurate CRM records, sales activity logs, contracts and revenue reportsCoordinate internal communications across operations, facilities, security, and legal to support booked eventsAssist in post-event reporting, client follow-up and retention strategies**Responsibilities subject to change based on organizational needs and direction from management.Education: Bachelor’s degree (required)Previous Experience: Three (3) plus years’ experience in sales, business development, hospitality, venue sales or premium eventsDemonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue quotas and sales targetsExperience working with commission-based compensation structures preferredStrong network across corporate event planning, entertainment, hospitality, or luxury brand sectors is highly desirableExperience with CRM systems and sales prospecting tools Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic sports and entertainment environmentPassion for sports, live events, and premium guest experiencesKnowledge, Skills, Abilities: Demonstrated ability to confidently lead projects, prioritize effectively to meet concurrent deadlines, and collaborate with diverse stakeholdersCapable of identifying key objectives and developing and implementing a plan to achieve stated objectives with minimal directionExcellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and cultivate strong relationships and influence effectively across the organizationStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to translate strategic concepts into presentations for a variety of audiencesAbility to maintain strict confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and act with discretion and professionalismHighly organized, detail oriented, and self-motivatedResourceful, innovative and forward-thinking, with an entrepreneurial spiritProcess-oriented, highly organized, works well under pressure and meet deadlinesProficient at negotiating with clients when required within the guidelines setEffectively evaluate risks and liabilities of special events and venue rentalsPhysical Demands: N/ALocation: El Segundo, California Hours: Regular office hours (9am- 5:30pm M-F), plus available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; overtime may be requiredThe pay range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications.
