OverviewThe Director of Finance serves as the strategic financial leader for Benchmark Arena, partnering with venue leadership, Oak View Group Hospitality leadership, and client stakeholders to drive financial performance across one of Oak View Group's premier sports and entertainment venues. Based onsite in downtown Tampa, home of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, this role oversees approximately $50-60 million in annual revenue across seven operating business units. The Director of Finance is responsible for all aspects of the venue's financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, payroll oversight, internal controls, compliance, and financial reporting. The Director of Finance leads the Finance team while serving as a key business partner to venue leadership. This highly visible role requires strong financial leadership, operational partnership, and the ability to influence business performance within a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. This role pays an annual salary of $100,000-$110,000 and is bonus eligible. What You’ll Be Doing: Assist the operations department in creating and developing detailed plans and procedures, ensuring timelines, room assignments, staffing roles and responsibilities, and communication for game days and marquee events. Ensure policies and procedures remain in compliance with the teams, NFL, NBA, Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Interface with Legends Global regarding stadium and arena needs for all home games and any special events in relation to event policies and procedures. Assist in the management, coordination, and distribution of the credentials and credential system compliance for all home games, marquee events, and building access at applicable venues Conduct building walkthroughs to verify all operational and partnership elements such as signage, activations, fan areas, and assets are in place prior to event day. Coordinate all giveaway and promotional items deliveries for both teams (delivery date and times, storage locations, day-before and game day movements). Support execution of special events (Training Camp, Mini Camp, Open Practices, Draft events, and other marquee team events). Continually seek out industry related best practices by reviewing methods to improve efficiency, quality of the fan experience, operations, and reduction of operating costs.
