Position SummaryUnder the direct supervision and mentorship of HJGT Tournament Directors and Staff Members, Interns will learn how to operate golf tournaments through their active involvement with all aspects of tournament operations, from course setup to course breakdown. The internship will provide direct hands on training and require extensive travel every weekend across the country, including: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, California, Arizona, New Jersey, and North Carolina. Overseeing the wayfinding signage planning and implementation at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ stadiums in Brazil. Working with other Cluster Managers ensuring that precedents are followed to guarantee consistency across all tournament stadiums. Oversight of contracted provider planning, production and implementation for all sites within the sites. Constant monitoring of the budgetary impact of allocated wayfinding operations and reporting updates to senior department members. Adhering to project deadlines and deliverables as instructed by senior members of the department. Daily liaison with other members of the wider Dressing and Signage team to ensure efficient planning and delivery is optimized at all stages of the project. Liaising with site owners and operators as required to gain approval on implementation plans. YOUR PROFILE Relevant experience in delivering wayfinding and signage projects for events of a similar scale to FIFA World Cups, Olympic Games etc. and experience managing major sports events in a role that included the delivery of comprehensive wayfinding and signage related activities. Experience in devising technical guidelines and wayfinding signage kit of parts for large-scale events. A working understanding of the technical aspects of delivering dressing and signage projects (i.e. production methods, installation techniques, materials etc.) Strong understanding of stadium wayfinding and signage requirements and large-scale temporary installations. Budget management experience on complex and multi-faceted events and projects. Experience in managing providers of services for world-class events. Knowledge of event planning, requirements and event project management processes for large sporting events. Qualifications: • Recent college graduate, senior/junior-year undergraduate student, or post-graduate student, majoring in communications, sport management, journalism, public relations, or related field; • Availability to work 36 home games plus playoffs (approx. 7 hours per game, primarily on nights and weekends and including holidays), plus occasional office hours during the week when needed; • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including working knowledge of and adherence to AP style; • Intense desire to progress professionally within the sports PR industry; • Creativity, exacting attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a variety of simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines; • Computer proficiency; • Self-starting, highly motivated individual with exceptional work ethic and unquestioned dependability; • Personal, professional demeanor; • Astute knowledge of and interest in hockey.
